EXPRESSIVE WRITING (also called “writing therapy”) is a modality that is often used in healthcare settings. Our program brings expressive writing to all kinds of communities, resulting in transformational change for many.

In fact, throughout human history, many cultures have used the arts as parts of important healing rituals. Now, we have the research to support what our ancestors already knew!

Unfortunately, the need couldn’t be greater. Currently, Oregon ranks 47th out of 50 states for mental health prevalence and access to care, according to Mental Health America.

Donor support provides healing throughout our region, taking the simple idea of putting pen to paper and making it an incredibly effective for mental wellness.
