Bryan Zentz’s speedy artwork and in-kind donation make our publishing program possible
For many, the most exciting moment of their Write Around experience is seeing their name in print. So the team at Write Around spends extra time making sure our anthologies look and feel just as special.
And that’s where Bryan Zentz steps in.
Bryan has been our book designer since 2019. And it’s not an easy job because our production process is lightning quick. After we receive work from our participants, we have just a few weeks to put everything together.
That’s when Bryan gets to work, offering three designs inspired by the writing inside. After decision-making by staff and volunteers, Bryan finishes the cover art and other elements.
It’s a quick timeline, but Bryan is a big fan – even donating half of his design fee to keep our costs down!
Bryan told us, “I’ve always been a fan of seeing someone pursue and realize their creative spark. What inspires me the most about Write Around is the dedication to helping folks harness this creative energy and bringing their ideas to the page for the rest of us to experience.
It is an honor for me to be able to lend my interpretation of the work within each anthology. I truly hope I do them justice!”
